Great Second Half Performance Sees Us Win Our 2nd Game In A Row

0-12 to 0-04 24th February 2019 Vs. Kilara Og
Killavullen and Kilara Og played the second game of the minor Division 2 league today on a fine afternoon in Killavullen.
Both teams were very evenly matched all throughout the first half with both teams unwilling to give an inch. Mark Nagle opened our account before Podge Cronin got a lovely hand fisted point. Mark again and Darragh O Grady added points to leave two points between the teams at half time, 0-4 to 0-2 in Killavullens favour.
A blistering opening 10 minutes to the second half saw killavullen score 4 unanswered points to stretch the lead to 6 before Kilara Og were awarded a penalty. Noah pulled off a fantastic save to push the ball over the bar and prevent the goal. Killavullen kicked on after this with Liam Fox instrumental from full forward after being introduced as a half time sub, scoring three points from play. Darragh scored our final point from a free to leave the score 0-12 to 0-4 at full time.
